Alerts and tools

Get messages in Discord, and use the helpers that work without a server.

Alerts

In Settings → Alerts add a Discord webhook (or any URL that accepts JSON). Tickhound tells you when a server stops reporting, comes back, when TPS drops below 15 for a few samples, and when a scan finds a new critical problem. Each incident is announced once.

The webhook address is stored encrypted. Tickhound only sends to public internet addresses. Messages contain the server name and a link, never tokens or passwords.

Quick check

The Tools page checks files you paste (server.properties, spigot.yml, bukkit.yml, Paper configs, start command, plugin list, latest.log) without any server. It returns the findings and improved copies of your config files with only the safe changes applied. Nothing is stored.

Startup flags

Builds the Java start command for your heap, Java version and style (Aikar's G1 flags, ZGC or light settings), as a one-liner, start.sh, start.bat or a Pterodactyl startup line.

Firewall and secrets

Builds firewall commands (ufw, iptables, nftables, Windows) that let only your proxy reach the backends, and makes a Velocity forwarding secret in your browser. Nothing is sent to Tickhound.

Automatic scans

On the Pro and Network plans Tickhound scans your servers about once a day by itself, using what the plugin or the panel can read. If the health score drops by 8 points or more, or a new critical finding appears, your alert channels get a message. Manual scans work the same way.

Server size

A planning guide for memory, CPU and disk from the number of players, plugins, view distance and the kind of server. For a measured answer run the capacity test with the Tickhound plugin.
